He was the owner-operator of Abbott Associates of Florida and was a member of Central Bible Church and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 308. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Marie; a son, J. Daniel of Seminole; a sister, Anna Virginia Abbott, Charleston; two grandchildren, Michelle and Dan Abbott II, Seminole; a niece; and a nephew. Anderson-McQueen Funeral Home, St. Petersburg.
