Dimmis Abitha Clark was born 28 May 1884, in Missouri, when the family lived there and tried farming. They came back to the Shelby, MI area and she married John Hawley in Hart, MI on 21 June 1902. Bitha, as she was called by some of the family, divorced John in 1925 or 26 and lived with her mother in Muskegon, but by 1950 she was in Pinellas, FL. She had the Elephant Man's disease and would hold her chin because it was so heavy. She died on 3 Dec 1966 and is buried in the Royal Palm Cemetery in St. Petersburg, under the name Bitha Clark.
