AVERY, Jesse Hugh — The body of Jesse Avery, 63, formerly of Rand, has arrived at Simpson mortuary here. Mr. Avery died Friday of a heart attack in Birmingham, Ala., where he had been living for the past seven years.
A retired iron worker, he had been employed by the duPont company and at Oak Ridge, Tenn., before retiring and moving to Birmingham.
Surviving: are his wife, Mrs. Stacia Avery; and four daughters, Mrs. Helen Holloway of San Francisco, Cal., Mrs. Joyce Burell of Birmingham, Mrs. Dorothy Wayda of Chicago, Ill., and Miss Frances Avery of Washington, D. C.
The body will be taken today to the home of a niece, Mrs. J. R. Price of 408 20th St., Dunbar.
