MILLERSBURG Catherine (Gray) Metzler, 95, of Millersburg, died Tuesday evening, July 26, 2005, at Walnut Hills Nursing Home, Walnut Creek. Graveside services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery in Millersburg, with the Rev. Gerald Craycraft officiating. There will be no calling hours. Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, is handling arrangements. She was born Sept. 21, 1909, in Knox Township, Holmes County, to Henry B. and Luella (Zollers) Gray and married Earl Metzler on Oct. 29, 1932. He died Feb. 9, 1985. She was a 1930 graduate of Ohio Northern University, receiving a degree in commerce and, with her husband, was owner/operator of Metzler Locker Service in Millersburg until retirement. She was a member of Millersburg Christian Church and Holmes County Order of Eastern Star Chapter 371. Surviving are a son, Terry Metzler of Millersburg; a daughter-in-law, Melanie Metzler of Aiken, S.C.; grandchildren, Kurt (Brenda) Metzler of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Marnie (Andrew) Hall of Columbus; and great-grandchildren, Morgan, MaKensie and Alexander Hall. A son, James Metzler, and sisters, Helen Elliott and Evelyn Hayes, died previously.
