YARMOUTH, March 14 - William Leslie Adams, 89, died at his home, 9 Portland St., today after a long illness. Mr. Adams was born Jan. 3, 1867, at Calais. As a young man he came to Portland. For many years, he was employed by Megquier and Jones Co., Pearl street ironworks. Retiring 20 years ago, Mr. Adams moved here nine years ago to make his home with his son, William Adams Jr. His son died seven years ago and, since that time, Mr. Adams lived with his daughter-in-law, Mrs. Eva Adams. He was a thirty-second degree Mason. Survivors include, besides his daughter-in-law, four nephews and two nieces. Funeral services will be at 2 p. m. Friday at the Lindquist Funeral Home, Portland St. The Rev. Clyde M. Campbell, pastor of the First Parish Congregational Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery.
