The daughter of John Curtin and Margaret (Wilson) Curtin of Cork, Ireland, Margaret Curtin was baptized in Saint Finbarr's (South) Catholic Church in Cork on Feb. 13th, 1870. She arrived in America about the year 1890, probably on the RMS Teutonic in New York Harbor on October 8th, 1890, sailing from the port of Queenstown, Ireland. Margaret settled in Biddeford, Maine, where she married Thomas Hall on Sept. 19th, 1893 in Saint Mary's Catholic church in Biddeford. To this union were born six children, James Andrew Hall, Olive Anna Hall, Isabelle Hall, Helen Gertrude Hall, Walter A. Hall and Beatrice Louise Hall, before her husband's untimely passing in 1907. The following obituary was published on the afternoon of her death:

Mrs. Margaret Hall Dies At Age Of 78

Mrs. Margaret B. Hall, 78, a native of Ireland but a resident here for 58 years, died at a Kennebunk convalescent home this morning. The widow of Thomas Hall, she was the daughter of John and Margaret (Wilson) Curtin. She was a charter member of the Assumption sodality of St. Mary parish. She leaves one son, James of New York; four daughters, Mrs. George Renouf, this city, with whom she made her home; Mrs. Ralph Travis and Mrs. Printess McCarn, Sanford; and Mrs. Kenneth Norton, Old Orchard Beach. The body is at the Cosgrove funeral home, Elm street, and funeral services will be held Monday morning at 9 o'clock in St. Mary church.
