Distant relative of Capt Nathan Hale.
Son of the late Clara Hale and Ernest McIntyre; brother of the late Barbara MacIntyre Vaughn and Bertha (known as Carol) MacIntyre, and Knowlton MacIntyre. Charles was a fluid engineer for Bendix Corp. Aviation Division, in Teterboro, NJ and Utica, NY, where he worked for 30 years. He invented and implemented aircraft de-icing systems for modern day jet aircraft. Charles married Irene Potenski at St. Mary's Church, Dumont, NJ on Sep 16, 1950. They later moved to Paramus, NJ where they raised their family.
