Irma D. Plog, 85, Green Bay, WI resident passed away on Friday, Jan. 19, 2007. She was born in Peshtigo, WI on March 23, 1921, the daughter of the late Herman and Bertha (Rettke) Rathmann.

On Dec. 30, 1939 she married Harold Plog.

In her early years, she was active in Parent-Teachers Association and ran a seamstress business from her home.
In 1986 she moved to Ann Arbor, MI, where she began a career with the University of Michigan. She started in the book bindery department and was promoted to a secretarial job with the research department.
After retirement from the university she moved to Juneau to be closer to her family, then to Green Bay to live near her daughter.

She was a member of WELS churches wherever she lived and taught Sunday School, was involved in Ladies Aid, pregnancy counseling and the Jesus Cares Program. She was currently a member of Messiah Evangelical Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her children, four sons: James H. Plog and Dennis W. (Roseanne) Plog, both of Menominee, MI; Richard J. (Gina) Plog of Granbury, Texas and Daniel H. (Ann) Plog of Savage, Minnesota;
a daughter, Mrs. Ronald (Sandra L.) Cearfoss of Green Bay, WI;
11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by Harold Plog; two brothers and four sisters.

A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 24 at Messiah Evangelical Lutheran Church. Rev. Stephen Sauer officiated. ©Proko-Wall Funeral Home.
