Adelaide P. Barnes, 95, of Owl's Nest Road, a retired teacher, died Tuesday at a Manchester NH nursing home.
She was born in North Shapleigh, a daughter of George and Delia Geary Pray and lived there all her life. She graduated from Lindsay High School and Gorham Normal School.
For 35 years, Mrs. Barnes was an elementary school teacher, retiring in 1950.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Philip (Margaret) Billings of Litchfield, NH; two grandsons and two great-grandchildren.
Burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery in South Acton. Arrangements by Heald Funeral Home, 61 Main St, Springvale.
