Joe Donald Holder, 88, of Quebeck, passed away Nov. 10, 2013, at Highlands Medical Center, in Sparta.
Mr. Holder was born Dec. 23, 1924, in Coffee County, to Joe Lee and Delma Denton Holder.
He was a farmer and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Mr. Holder was also preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Jerry Holder, Eddie Holder; and 11 brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Elise Roberts Holder, of Quebeck; children, Donald Lee Holder, Jannie Holder, both of Quebeck; grandchildren, Jason Holder, Bobbie Wakefield, Julie Williams, Janet Boyd, Chad Holder; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Nov. 13, 2013, at Hunter Funeral Home, with burial in the Preston Heights Cemetery with full military honors. Bro. Joe Neal will officiate. The family will receive friends after 5 p.m., Nov. 12, at the funeral home.
