Thomas Joseph Connolly was born in Springfield, Ill. on 20 Oct. 1923 to Cleatus John and Lelah Mae (Fortner) Connolly, the 2nd son (3rd child, daughter Helen Marie born/died 14 Feb. 1921) Thomas was married to Elizabeth (Dietrich) and had a son Thomas J Connolly, Jr. Thomas died in the hospital after a tragic fall of over 30 feet from a tower which broke his neck.
