She was born in Harlan, Ky., on November 10, 1935, a daughter of the late Elmer Moscow Morris and Margaret Smith Morris.
On September 30, 1954, she married Marvin Creech and they enjoyed 41 years of marriage before his passing on June 19, 1996.
She is survived by five children, Ramona Shattuck and husband, Stephen, Rebecca Bell and husband, Billy, Marvin R. Creek and wife, Jean, Robin Vallandingham and husband, James and Dianna Thompson and husband, Steve; eight grandchildren, Katie Brownlee, Mason and Doug Shattuck, Kasey Bumgardner, Alyssa Wilson, John David Bell, Jenny Lee Walker and Samantha Paynter; three great-grandsons, Azarius LaRon Gentry, Tyler Brownlee and Jake Bell; one great-granddaughter, Addyson Wilson; three brothers, Danny, Harry and Sonny Morris and three sisters, Janice Trimble, Teddy Morris and Billy Minton.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Jim and Ray Morris and her beloved poodle, Joy.
Ginny was retired from the Exide Company where she was invited to travel to Japan for a business trip and she thoroughly enjoyed the experience. She was a faithful member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Glenville, W.Va. She enjoyed reading, crocheting and gardening and was well known for her masterful skills in playing scrabble and trivial pursuit.
Ginny's request for cremation has been honored, and her family will have a celebration of life service at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, in Glenville at a later date.
The Pat Boyle Funeral Home and Cremation Service at 144 Hackers Creek Road in Jane Lew, W.Va., is honored and privileged to serve the family of Ginny Creech.
