MAPLETON – Beatrice M. Carter, 79, died Aug. 17, 2004, at a Bangor hospital. She was born June 4, 1925, in Skowhegan, the daughter of Elmer Sr. and Mattie (Beaulier) Bell. She grew up in Sheridan and was a long time resident of Fort Fairfield and Mapleton. She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Carter; her son, Danny Duprey and her brother, Edward Wood Sr. She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Duprey Kenney and her husband, Preston, of Castle Hill; two granddaughters, Andrea Hallett and her husband, Chris, of Sidney and Jessica Kenney of South Berwick; a stepson, Ronald Carter and his wife, Lillian; and their two children, Scott and Kristie Carter of Madawaska; and several nieces, nephews and a special sister-in-law, Winnie Beaulieu of Presque Isle. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, at the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle, with the Rev. Beth Ann Black, officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 12 noon until the time of the service. Interment will be in the Riverside Cemetery, Fort Fairfield. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Logan P. Graves Foundation, P.O. Box 429, Presque Isle, ME 04679.
