Barry A. Dillon, 62, Greaney, perished at his residence due to a house fire on Tuesday, November 12, 2013. His faithful companion pet dog, Yogi, who also perished in the fire. He was born on April 14, 1951 at Cook, the son of Harvey and Gloria (Palmquist) Dillon.

He grew up at his grandfather's logging camp near Ely. He graduated from Cook High School in 1969. His greatest joy was at his grandfather's logging camp near Ely. It was a place he found beauty, solitude, and great fishing. Even later, after the camp was taken to be a part of the BWCA, he would often return to the area he loved.

Barry was an over the road truck driver for Monson and drove logging truck locally for David Udovich. He was an avid outdoorsman and had a keen sense of direction. Being a avid deer hunter, he always went for the trophy buck. Barry was also an avid fisherman. His other passion was riding his Harley, both locally and on trips throughout the country.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Barry is survived by his brother, Gerald (Irene) LaFlex; sisters: Sandy Bergman and Sherry Simonson; and special friend Cindy Aune.

Interment in the Cook Community Cemetery.
