FRED WILEY PERKEY
Fred Wiley Perkey, 52, of
Johnson City, TN, formerly
of Richlands, died July 16
in a Johnson City hospital
following a long illness.
Born in Richlands, he was
the son of Mrs. Ethel Dye
Perkey of Johnson City and
the late Robert W. Perkey.
He had made his home in
the Johnson City area for
the past 20 years, and was
a member of the Freewill
Baptist Church. Perkey was
also preceded in death by
two brothers.
Survivors in addition to
his mother include two
daughters, Mrs. Johnny (Kathy)
Arnett of Jonesboro, TN, Mrs.
George (Judy) Cobine of Tampa,
FL; five sons, Wiley Perkey
of Tampa, Michael Perkey,
Ricky Perkey, Tommy Perkey,
and Richard Perkey, all of the
home; four sisters, Mrs. Mae
Bunton, Miss Minnie Perkey
and Mrs. Ruth Whittington, all
of Johnson City, Mrs. Bessie
Rosenbalm of Elizabethton, TN;
three brothers, Robert Perkey
of Bristol, TN, James Perkey
of Mansfield, OH and Cecil
Perkey of Galion, OH; three
grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services were conducted
Wednesday from the Hurst-Scott
Funeral Home chapel with Rev.
Carl Robinson and Rev. Grat
Horton officiating. Interment
followed at the Hankins Cemetery
in Richlands. Friends and
neighbors served as pallbearers.
