Albert W. Cole Eaton Rapids Age 84, died Sunday, November 17, 2013 in Charlotte. Albert was born in Lansing on March 5, 1929 the son of Wayne and Geraldine (Petrie) Cole. He was a high school graduate of Leslie and following school served in the U.S. naval reserve. Albert worked 26 years as a Corrections officer for the State of Michigan and also owned and operated a farm in Onondaga Township. He was an active member of the Eaton Rapids Church of the Nazarene and was a former member of the Onondaga Board of Review. Preceding him in death were his son Daniel in 1980; and a sister, Thelma Cozart. Surviving are his wife of 62 years Marion; daughter, Mary Ellen Cole of Lansing; son, David Cole of Lansing; 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Louise Potter of Jackson and Joan Doxtader of Holt; brother, Frank Cole of Grand Rapids and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Thursday, November 21, 2013 at 11:00 am from the Skinner Funeral Home in Eaton Rapids with the Rev. Dallas McFarland, officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Ridge Cemetery in Holt. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6-8pm.
