Stephen George Brem, Jr., age 50 of Greenville passed away on November 16, 2013 of a heart arrhythmia at Theda Clark with family members by his side.

Steve was born on August 8, 1963 in Kaukauna, WI. Son of Mary (Rockey) Nushart and the late Stephen Brem, Sr. Steve graduated from Appleton West High School in 1981. Then Steve enlisted in the US Marine Corps where he attended Culinary School at Jacksonville, North Carolina State University and became a culinary instructor. He then returned to WI in 1984 and worked in the paper industry as a machine operator for the past 30 years. His employment included Appleton Papers, Menasha Corp, Kimberly Clark and SCA. He was united in marriage to Trudy Krueger, the love of his life and best friend, on October 24, 1992 at St Thomas More, Appleton, WI. Steve had many interests. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his father-in-law, Gib and brother Doug, traveling and pampering his wife, Packer games with his brother-in-law, Todd, Brewer games with his nephew, Corey, and the Wood Tick races at his Mom and Dad's bar where he is the defending champ. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family where he could joke and create laughter, mostly at the humorous expense of his sister Kelly.

He is survived by his loving wife, Trudy Krueger, Mother, Mary Nushart, Father, Richard Nushart, Sister, Kelly (Garrett) Geib, Nephews, Justin (Jessica) Schadrie and Corey Schadrie, Great niece, Madelynn Schadrie. His wife's family, Mother-in-law, Margaret Krueger, brother-in-law, Todd (Lynne) Krueger, special niece, Tia Krueger, Michael (Bonnie) Krueger, Steven (Linda) Krueger, sister-in-law, Nancy (Marlin) Conradt, step brothers, step sisters, aunts and uncles, cousins many nieces and nephews and his 2 furry friends, Kato and Keshia.

He is preceded in death by his father, Stephen Brem, Maternal Grandparents, Frank and Francis Femal and Clarence Rockey, Paternal Grandparents, Stephen and Leone Brem, Brothers, Craig Brem and Doug Brem and father-in-law, Gilbert Krueger.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00AM Thursday, November 21, 2013 at St Thomas More Catholic Church, 1810 N McDonald St, Appleton. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, November 20 at Valley Funeral Home, and will continue on Thursday at the church from 10:00AM until the hour of service. Entombment will be held 2:00PM on Thursday at Highland Memorial Park/Star of Hope Mausoleum 3131 North Richmond Street, Appleton.
