Velma Lee Sanderson Reeves
Funeral for Velma Lee Sanderson Reeves, 69, of Decatur will be Saturday, Nov. 25, 2006, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Garrison officiating. Burial will be in New Center Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Mrs. Reeves, who died Monday, Nov. 20, 2006, at Huntsville Hospital, was born Jan. 24, 1937, in Lawrence County to Leon Sanderson and Susie Parker Sanderson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Reeves; a son, Donnie Kilpatric; and a brother, Claudie Sanderson.
Survivors include three sons, Tim Kilpatric of Trinity, Johnny Kilpatric and his wife, Debbie, of Hartselle and Ronnie Kilpatric of Decatur; two daughters, Bonnie Reeves and her husband, Elbert, of Trinity and Bobbie Fristoe of Alpine, Texas; three sisters, Shirley Brewer, Marie Brewer and Eula Mae Parker, all of Moulton; 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
