Teddy Wayne Fautin, our beloved father and grandfather passed through the veil to join his eternal companion and love of his life, Jeneall, on January 18th, 2013. Born in Circleville, Utah on March 19, 1925. Growing up, his passions were fishing and hunting - loves that he passed on to his grandchildren through the years. While in Lindon, he attended Pleasant Grove High School where he met and courted his future wife, Jeneall. After graduating in 1943, he enlisted in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He served his combat duty as an aerial gunner as part of a B-24 bomber squadron. He married his sweetheart of over 61 years in a small ceremony in Denver, on April 19, 1944. He was part of 12 combat missions flown over the European Theatre of operations in World War II. After the war ended in 1945, he returned home and attended BYU studying geology.
After being discharged, he began a long career as a petroleum geologist, a career that enriched his years with lifelong friendships and and experiences serving in many capacities in the church. His career began in Rawlins, WY. From there, he was transferred to Durango, CO - during this time, Grandpa and Grandma were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. From there, his career took him to New Orleans, Salt Lake City, Ft. Worth and Denver, before retiring to Sandy. He was active in the church, serving in many church callings including Bishop and Stake Presidency.
Survived by his daughters, Pauline (Ben) Behunin, Jeanne (Keith) Joseph and Judy Miller, 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Also by his sister, Connie Wood.
Preceded in death by his wife Jeneall and sister Shirley Lytle.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, January 23rd, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sego Lily Ward, 10310 S. Ashley Park Dr. (2130 E.) in Sandy. A viewing will be held Tuesday, January 22nd, from 6-8:00 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. 10600 S., Sandy. And also one hour prior to services held at the ward on Wednesday. Interment to follow at Pleasant Grove City Cemetery, 500 North Main, Pleasant Grove, UT.
