Mr. Carl Lyle Marney, Jr., 87, of Anderson, Missouri, a lifelong area farmer, departed this life on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at Seneca House in Seneca, Missouri, after months of declining health.

Junior entered this life on October 30, 1926 in Wheaton, Missouri, to the union of the late Carl Marney, Sr. and Opal (Langley) Marney. He has resided the last eighty-seven years on the family farm on EE Highway near Anderson, Missouri. He served his country faithfully in the United States Army during WW-II. After being honorably discharged he returned home to the farm in Anderson. On October 15, 1960 he was united in marriage to Dorothy Evelyn Kirby and she preceded him in death on June 26, 1989. On July 10, 1992 he married Betty Schultz and together they have shared the last twenty-one years. He enjoyed visiting with his friends and playing cards. Junior was a member of the Patterson Heights Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his fist wife, Dorothy Marney; and a sister, Polly Allman.

Junior is survived by his wife, Betty Marney of the home; four stepchildren, Denny Schultz of Kansas City, Missouri, Kathy D'amico of Charlotte, North Carolina, Carolyn Sue Bollman of Olathe, Kansas and Cheryl Kay Sader of Charleston, South Carolina; eight step-grandchildren; one step-great-granddaughter; a sister Betty Mason of Owasso, Oklahoma; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Marney are 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 23, 2013 in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes with Bro. Fred Mills officiating. Burial will follow in the Anderson Cemetery. Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are Dan Wilson, Donald Bollman, Jeffrey Bollman, Joshua Sade, Gregory Sader and Harold Spears. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6-8:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
