Robert C. Russell, 63, 906 W. Main Street, died Sunday, January 3, 1993 at 12:20 pm at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis. He was born April 18, 1929 in Peru, Miami County, Indiana to Clifford E. and Eva B. Graff Russell. He married Esther Townsend on August 28, 1972 and she survives.

Mr. Russell was a retired conductor with the C & O Railroad. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and the United Transportation Union.

Surviving with his wife are two sons, David Russell and Steve Russell; three stepsons, Robert D. Townsend Jr., James W. Townsend, and Scott W. Townsend, all of Peru; one brother, Harold E. Russell Peru; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 6, at 2:00 p.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene, 331 W. Sixth St. The Rev. Ron Shaner will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Mexico.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. at the Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home.
