Allan Edward Bender, 50, a 28-year resident of San Bernardino, died in a Fantana hospital Monday. He was born in Lincoln, Neb., and was a mechanic.

He was a member of the Arrowhead Chapter O.E.S., No. 548; the San Bernardino Lodge, No. 348, F.&A.M.; San Bernardino Scottish Rite; and the Al Malaikah Shrine of Los Angeles.

Survivors include his wife, Alma B.; a daughter, Kathy Andrews of San Bernardino; a brother James Bender of Oceanside; three sisters, La Veigh Bender of Long Beach, Carol Lane of Missouri and Eloise Johnson of Kansas; and two grandchildren.

Services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday at the Mark B. Shaw Memorial Chapel, followed by interment at the Montecito Memorial Park. Friends may call after noon Wednesday at the chapel.
