Martha Mae Summerville, 71, of Lyons, passed away at 4:50 p.m., Friday, April 27, 2001 at Bloomington Hospital. She was born Dec. 27, 1929 in Greene County, and was the daughter of William Henry and Clara Belle (Cooksey) Mowery. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church of Lyons, and past president of the Lyons American Legion Auxillary Survivors include, her husband, Cletho Summerville of Lyons; two sons, Gilbert Summerville of Linton and Jerry Summerville of Lyons; three brothers, Wm. C. Mowery of Linton, Elmer Mowery of Worthington, and Carroll Mowery of Linton and sisters Helen Acord of Yucca Valley, Calif., Edna Rhoten of Hamilton, Ohio, Mary Jane Yates of Bloomington, Ina Cardinal of Bruceville, Effie Smiley of Linton, Marcella McDonald of Linton and Ethel White of Lyons; five grandchildren, Marc, Mike, Erica, Ellen and Jessica Summerville; and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Janet Mae Summerville, and two brothers, James and Frank Mowery. Funeral services will be at Anderson-Poindexter Linton Memory Chapel at 1 p.m. on Tuesday with the Rev. Steve Brinson officiating. Burial will follow at Stafford Cemetery.
