Joe Harvey Goodnight, 80, of the Town House apartments in Greenville, died Monday at 12:15 p.m. in a Greenville hospital.
Services will be at the Coker-mathews (sic) Funeral Chapel at 10 a.m. Thursday with the Revs. Bobby Renfro and Robert Baldridge officiating.
Born in Zimmerman, La., Aug. 13, 1900, he was the son of Thomas M. Goodnight and Sally Evans Goodnight. He married Viola Smith in Ardmore, Okla., July 20, 1930. He was a retired bookkeeper for Glassman Oxygen Co. and a member of Highland Terrace Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of Greenville; brother, T.M. Goodnight, Jr., of Shreveport, La.; three neices (sic) and one nephew.
