Karen Roberta Conaway, 56 of Sergeant Bluff, died Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at the Pleasant View Care Center in Whiting, Iowa.

Services 10:00 am Saturday at Shepherd of Peace Lutheran Church with Rev. Tim Schiller officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Albaton, Iowa. Visitation at the church 5-8 pm, with the family present 6-8 pm and the Prayer Service at 7 pm. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service. Karen was born on June 16, 1957 in Sioux City. She graduated in 1976 from the Sergeant Bluff High School. Karen worked at Donnelly Marketing for five years, and later at various fast food establishments in the area. She was a member of the Shepherd of Peace Lutheran Church.

Karen is survived by two sons, Dustin Conaway of Allen, Nebraska and Mathew Conaway of Lincoln, Nebraska; her mother, Doris and her husband Harold Christianson of Sergeant Bluff; two brothers, Mike Christianson and his wife Michelle of Sergeant Bluff and Pat Christianson of Woodland Park, Colorado; three sisters, Kim and her husband Lynn Delaney of McCook Lake, South Dakota, Brenda Jo Tallbull of Centennial, Colorado and Chris and her husband Marvin Pottebaum of Sergeant Bluff; two grandchildren, Rayne Conaway and Avalyn Conaway; her paternal great-grandparents, Gerald and Helen Tufts and their son, Mark Tufts, all of Bondurant, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Julius and Minnie Kamm, one brother, Jody Christianson, and her twin sister at age of four, Sharon Elaine Sundberg.
