Arthur was born on March 30, 1933 in Albany and was the son of the late George G. and Edith (Cook) Aleschus.
He served in the US Navy from 1952 to 1956.
He worked as a supervisor and shipper for W.H. Smith Paper Corp. in Albany for 30 years, retiring in 1989.
He then went to work for Shop N Save Market on Wolf Road in Colonie.
Arthur is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Mary P. (Delaney) Aleschus; his loving sisters, Eva Pocius, Betty Jane (Santo) Costanza and June Parshall and several nieces and nephews.
Interment will be held at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville.
