Janet E. (Flamion) Meyer Kempf, 74, passed away on July 6, 2013, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.



She was born in Perry County on May 30, 1939. Her parents were the late John William "Bill" Flamion and Alma (Hagman) Flamion. Also preceding her in death were her infant brothers who were twins and a granddaughter, Katie Elizabeth Rhodes.



A 1957 graduate of Tell City High School, Jan was the Registrar of Vital Records for Perry County where she had been employed for over twenty years. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.



Surviving are Henry Kempf; her children, Leisa Rhodes (John Ecker), Tell City; Daniel Meyer (Myra Prewitt-Meyer) Louisville, Kentucky; Marty Meyer (Shelly), Jasper and Seneca "Ritter" Meyer (Cristina Lindsey) of Dale; twin brother, James E. Flamion (Judi), Newburgh; grandchildren, Ian Abel and Elijah Asher Meyer, Ivy Rhodes and Jordan Rhodes, and Mallory, Maris, Hadley and Arian Meyer and a great granddaughter, Luciana DePiano.



Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery.
