Leslie-Alban L. McClung, 35, of Leslie was killed instantly in an automobile accident about 11:15 pm Saturday at Sewell Mountain near East Rainelle. State police said the car, which was headed west, failed to negotiate a curve.
The driver of the car, Paul E. Butler, was injured and taken to the Beckley Memorial Hospital where his condition is fair.
Five other persons also were in the car. Their names were not available.
Rainelle State Police said an investigation is pending.
McClung was a lifelong resident of Leslie.
He was born May 8, 1924, a son of Lona Hizer McClung Loudermilk of Leslie and the late Alban McClung.
Other survivors include five sisters, Mrs. Stella Watson of Detroit, Mich., Mrs. Essie Christman of Leslie, Mrs. Gertrude Sutherland of Hines, Mrs. Vera Campbell of Leslie, and Mrs. Verna Campbell of Detroit, Mich.; and six brothers, Clayton of Quinwood, Newton and Carl, both of Orient Hill, Cecil and Nelson, both of Washington, D. C., and Clares McClung of Portsmouth, Va.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 pm Tuesday in the Orient Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Edward B. Powers and the Rev. T. F. Orndorff in charge. Burial will be in the Deitz Cemetery at Orient Hill.
The body will be taken from the Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in East Rainelle to the home of his mother at 6 pm today and to the church one hour prior to services.
