Delores DeLone Larsen Steed, 85, passed away Nov. 12, 2013, at her daughter's home in Pendleton, Oregon. She was born June 7, 1928, in Logan, Utah the daughter of Guy and Delone Smith Larsen.
She married John Harvey Hobson on Nov. 23, 1946 in Malad, Idaho. He preceded her in death in a farm accident.
On Sept. 20, 1963, she married Dee Vern Steed in Malad, Idaho. Their marriage was solemnized Feb. 17, 1964 in the Logan Utah Temple. He also preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in the Relief Society and was involved with the Daughters of Utah Pioneers for over thirty years. She helped organize a Pioneer Marker in Weston Canyon.
She loved genealogy and scrapbooking. She enjoyed canning and horse backing. In her younger years she loved sheep and 4H. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by three sons and one daughter, Kerby (Val) Steed of Vernal, Utah; Kelly (Brenna) Steed of Casper, Wyoming; Steven (Machele) Steed of Newton, Utah; Brenda (Chris) Christensen of Pendleton, Oregon; by ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her two husbands and by a brother, Noel Larsen.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Nov. 18, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Preston South Stake Center, 55 E. 1st S., Preston, Idaho with Bishop Quinn Corbridge conducting. Friends may call Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 South 8th East, Preston, Idaho and Monday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the stake center.
Interment will be in the Garland, Utah Cemetery.
