Son of Melvin and Mary Katherine Reeves Hatch.

Melvin Lamar Hatch, wonderful son, brother, uncle and friend, passed away November 23, 2013.

Born June 8, 1932 to Melvin and Mary Hatch. At the age of 4, Lamar lost his hearing, but didn't let that interfere with things he loved to do - hunting, fishing and trap shooting, were some of those things.

Lamar worked for Glaydes Candy Co. For over 25 years. He lived in Bountiful until the passing of his father in 2010 when he excitedly moved to Oakley, Utah to a new home. Lamar loved the people of the community who were so kind to him.

Lamar is preceded in death by his father and mother, brother, Milo, and sister, Carmen.

He is survived by his brother, Del Ray (Patsy) Hatch of Oakley, Utah and many nieces and nephews who loved him very much.

A special thanks to Dr. Greg Iverson and the hospice team, Audrey and Ashley who made his last days comfortable.

There will be a viewing Tuesday evening 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Peoa LDS Chapel, State Road 32 and Wednesday morning at 10:00 a.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at the Bountiful City Cemetery, 2224 South 200 West.
