Howard F. Patrick, 77, of 2141 Ross St., died Monday, Dec. 16, at the King's Daughters' Hospital.
He was born on Sept. 29, 1919, in Ashland, Ky., the son of Claude and Molly Conley Patrick. He was a retired facility operations employee of the former Jefferson Proving Ground, and a U.S. army veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Pauline Akers Patrick; one son, Gerald Patrick of Dothan, Ala.; two daughters, Janice Lowder of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Jeanne Pate of Hanover; one brother, Dallas Patrick of Water Valley, Miss.; three sisters, Betty Himes of Kissimmee, Fla., Maxine Trusty of Elizabethtown, Ky., and Edith Sudol of Cleveland, Ohio; five grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Harry Patrick; and on sister, Lydia Jean Hudson.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Vail-Holt Funeral Home Madison Chapel, with burial in the Fairmount Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, and after 9 a.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Jefferson County Youth Shelter or the Jefferson County Chapter of the American Heart Association.
