Milton Merrick, 87, of Kenosha passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013, at Grande Prairie Health & Rehab in Pleasant Prairie.

Milton was born on Sept. 22, 1926, in Kenosha, the son of the late Joseph andJulia (Totts) Merrick.

He was educated in the schools of Kenosha. He married Helen Streich on April 21, 1951, in Kenosha. He was employed by the city of Kenosha as a street sweeper for many years. Miltons hobbies included playing cards, cribbage, going to casinos, and spending time with family and friends, especially his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Milton is survived by his children, Sharon (John) Roach of Wausaukee, Wis., Christopher Gustavus of Pleasant Prairie, Caroline (Marty) Gauss of Kenosha, Sandra (Dean) Setzler of McHenry, Ill., Mark Merrick of Kenosha; a brother, Jay (Betty) Merrick of Ohio; a sister, Maxine Smith of Calif.; 11 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen; sisters, Beverly and Doris.

A visitation will be held on Monday, Dec. 2, 2013, at Kenosha Funeral Services from 9 - 11 a.m. with funeral services to follow at 11 a.m. Burial at Green Ridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials to the family would be appreciated.
