Joseph J. Nestle, age 73, passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca.

He was born on July 16, 1940 in Milwaukee, WI, the son of Lester and Anna (Hinding) Nestle. He married Elaine Traver on September 26, 1964 in Milwaukee.

Joseph is survived by his wife, Elaine, two sons: Todd J. Nestle (significant other: Angelique) of Lannon, and Curtis C. Nestle (significant other: Tammy) of Waupaca, grandchildren: Tanner J. Nestle, Hannah M. Nestle, and Wyatt Marshall, a brother: Russell (Helen) Nestle, and two sisters: Roberta Brown and Lynn Nestle. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother: Lester Nestle, Jr, and two sisters: Rose Marie Helmrick and Marlene Koehn.

Joseph had been employed as a millwright in a foundry in Milwaukee for most of his working life, retiring in 2002. He had served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching the Brewers, Packers, and the Badgers. He especially loved his special little dog, Rudie. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Wild Rose.

A memorial service will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Wild Rose on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 1:00 pm, with Rev. Dale Bahls, officiating.

Military Honors will be observed outside the church following the memorial service.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in memory of Joseph J. Nestle.

Joe's wife and family wish to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of the Wisconsin Veteran's Home in King and Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca for their tender, loving care while he was with them.
