Emma R. Hagedorn, age 95 of Fredericksburg, died Friday morning, October 14, 2005, at the New Hampton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 18, 2005, at Peace United Church of Christ in Fredericksburg with Pastor Arthur Clippinger officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Fredericksburg.

Emma Ruth Hagedorn was born near Keystone, Iowa, November 15, 1909, the daughter of W. F. A. and Emma (Albers) Rabe. Emma attended rural schools in Chickasaw County. She graduated from New Hampton High School in 1927, after which she taught in the rural schools of Chickasaw County.She was united in marriage to Albert P. Hagedorn on June 4, 1931, at the Little Brown Church near Nashua. He preceded her in death on March 21, 1976.

She is survived by four children, Ruth Pries of Cedar Falls, Betty (Ray) Niewoehner, Wayne (Chris) Hagedorn all of Fredericksburg and Roger (Linda) Hagedorn of Sumner; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; one brother, Henry Rabe of New Hampton; two sisters, May Rogers of New Hampton and Minnie Zwanziger of Sumner; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Albert; her parents; one brother, William Rabe; five sisters; Bertha in Infancy, Edna Schmidt, Louise Beck, Ella Frederickson and Alma Pietan.
