This was my second great grandmother and the wife of Isaac Garoutte who was the son of David Anthony Garoutte and Margaret EGGMAN Garoutte.

She was married to Isaac on December 17, 1847 in Taney County, Missouri.

They moved to Howell County about 1856 and were engaged in farming. They became members of the First Presbyterian Church of West Plains when it was organized and her husband was a charter member and served on the Board of Elders.

Together, they had nine children. Her oldest child was Eliza Jane (my great grandmother) who married William Wright Hudlow. Her second child, Rhoda Caroline, married another Hudlow brother, Alfred Hudlow. With their third child, they got their first son, Joseph Anthony. Six more children were to follow.

She is buried here with her husband, whom she preceded in death, and they share a headstone.

She was loved and greatly missed by her husband, her seven daughters, her two sons, her grandchildren, many friends, and all who knew her.
