Bunnie Johnson was born in Alpaugh, California, Tulare County in May 1918, to Franklin Jackson Akers and Mary Boswell. She moved to Chowchilla where she met John Richard Johnson and they were married January 27, 1933. She moved to Turlock in 1939 and has resided at Elness Convalescent for the past 12 years. She attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church and enjoyed painting, ceramics, cooking, gardening, and loved flowers.
She is survived by her two sons, Jim R. (Vivian) Johnson of Turlock and John R. (Carol) Johnson of Delhi; 18 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren, and 17 great-great grand-children. She is preceded in death by her husband John, daughter Lauretta Johnson-Pace, 9 brothers, 5 sisters, and 2 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 18, 2011 at 10am with recitation of the Rosary to begin at 7pm at Allen Mortuary.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at 10am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with interment to follow at Turlock Memorial Park.
