Hugh Wayne Lamar
September 21, 1930 - January 17, 2013

Mr. Lamar was a native of Dallas. He graduated from North Dallas High School.

Hugh married his sweetheart of sixty-three years, Susan Carter Lamar.

Hugh is survived his wife, Susan, sons; Michael Lamar and his wife Sherri, Mark Lamar and his wife Debbie, Stephen Lamar, daughters; Diane McWhorter and her husband Leon, Denise Putnam and her husband Jan and Dixie Lamar, thirteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

He and Susan were members of Tyler Street United Methodist Church 44 years.

Hugh was a Gideon, a children's Sunday School teacher for 39 years and after retirement, he volunteer for twelve years at Dallas Methodist Hospital.

Above all, he lived his Christian faith openly, consistently and joyfully. Memorials Should be made to The Gideons or the Tyler Street United Methodist Church.

Visitation Saturday January 19, 2013, 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. at Jeter & Son Chapel.

Funeral Service Sunday, January 20, 2013, 3:00 P.M. at Tyler Street UMC.
