Harry Clayton Albright, 86, of 1118 E. 9th St., died of a cerebral hemorrhage Monday at 4:30p.m. at his home following a long illness.
Born at Brandon, Iowa, Aug. 30, 1878, the son of Dr. George H. and Elizabeth Worman Albright. He lived in Salem 50 years, coming here from Columbiana. He attended Mount Hope, Mount Union, and Heidelberg Colleges, taught school for a few years during his youth, worked for the Railway Mail Service for 17 years, was a chiropractor, and until his retirement several years ago was a real estate agent.
Mr. Albright is survived by his wife, Carrie Elizabeth Hise Albright, whom he married Sept. 6, 1913, a daughter, Mrs. Walter Hanzlick, and a son, Richard C. Albright, both of Salem; a sister, Mrs. Nellie Waddell of Leetonia; five brothers, Ross and Fred of Columbiana, Roy and Charles of Leetonia, and Perry of East Fairfield, and six grandchildren.
Services will be Thursday at 2p.m. at the Arbaugh-Pearce Funeral Home in charge of Rev. Charles Albright, assisted by Rev. William S. Longsworth, pastor of the First Methodist Church. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday night.
