THOMAS THURMAN HARMON
Thomas Thurman Harmon, age 68,
of Red Ash, Va., passed away at
a local hospital Friday morning
after a short illness. Mr.
Harmon had made his home at Red
Ash for the past forty years and
followed the vocation of mining
until a few years ago. He is
survived by five stepchildren:
S. F. Nicewander, Raven; Marvin
Nicewander, Bluefield; William
M. Nicewander, of Richmond;
Olie smith, Deland, Fla.; and
Mrs. Nellie Mustard of Doran.
His wife died in 1931. The
remains were removed from the
Richlands Funeral Home to the
home of Mrs. Nellie Mustard
Saturday afternoon. Funeral
services were held at Layman's
Chapel Sunday afternoon at
1:30 p.m. with Rev. Neal Webb
in charge. Interment took
place in Hankins cemetery.
Pallbearers were John Lawson,
Jay Fields, Lucian Fields, Glen
Gilbert and Cable Shouse.
