Deaths And Funerals
Mrs. Dollie E. Stich, 86, Dies; Services Tuesday
Rites are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Strode Chapel for Mrs. Dollie Emeline Stich, 86, 123 W. Elm, who died Saturday in Stillwater Municipal Hospital.
The Rev. H.A. Morton will officiate with burial in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Strode Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be conducted by the Gold Star Mothers.
Born Oct. 23, 1876 at Mulvane, Kan., Mrs. Stich was the daughter of Lemuel and Catherine Sugg.
She was married to Artie L. Stich at Stillwater on April 18, 1893. They lived in Stillwater from the time of their marriage with the exception of 15 years in Pawnee and a short time in Ponca City.
Mrs. Stich was a member of the Methodist Church. She was a charter member of the Gold Star Mothers and a member of the Rebekah Lodge and the Royal Neighbors.
Survivors include two sons, Luther A. Stich, of corvalis, Ore., and Layton L. Stich, of Clinton; four daughters, Mrs. Goldie Truitt of Santa Anna, Calif., Mrs. Maudine Slaven of Ponca City, Mrs. Helen Freeman of Wichita, Kan., and Mrs. Ruth Day of Blackwell; one brother, Lemuel Sugg of Cleveland; and two sisters, Mrs. Mollie Wells of Ponca city and Mrs. Maude Head of Cleveland.
Her husband died June 12, 1950. Three children, Mrs. Alpha Hall, Henry Stich and LeRoy E. Stich, all preceded their mother in death, in addition to two sisters and one brother.
Relatives of Mrs. Stich will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the reception room at Strode Funeral Home.
