Prominent Grain Man Dies Following Attack of Grip.
John Dunwoody, secretary and treasurer of the St. Anthony and Dakota Elevator company and for many years identified with the grain business of Minneapolis, died Wednesday morning at his home, 138 Franklin avenue west, after an illness of grip which later developed into meningitis.
Mr. Dunwoody was born near Philadelphia in 1846. He was one of the oldest members of the Westminster Presbyterian church and was an elder of the church at the time of his death. He leaves a wife and three daughters, Mrs. Fay Bousfield, Miss Mary and Miss Ruth Dunwoody. A brother, William H. Dunwoody, president of the Northwestern National bank also survives.
Miss Mary Dunwoody, who has been visiting in New York, returned to Minneapolis some days ago on account of the illness of her father, and Miss Ruth Dunwoody was summoned from Wells college, Aurora, N. Y., when her father's illness became serious.
