On Monday, September 10th, The gates of heaven opened to received our daughter, sister, mother, auntie and wife, Charmaine Veneca Day-Allen. Charmaine was born September 15th, 1974. She was the daughter of Cynthia Kelly Jones and Joe Franklin Day. She is survived by both parents, her husband David Allen, her children;Mallika, Makira and Messiyah, and sister, Jessica Carbajal, stepdaughters;April and Priyanka. Grandparents, Gertrude McKoy, Mildred Milton. Charmaine graduated from Ben L. Smith High School. She was a member of Saint James Home of Fresh Start Ministries, Dr. James Woodson, pastor. She worked for Home of Second Changes,LLC. beside her mother and sister, as C.F.O. Charmaine had a love and compassion for underprivileged kids. She was a foster mother, but cared for each child as her own. Charmaine was an entrepreneur and jewelry collector. She loved vending at flea markets, especially the Holiday Market. Charmaine was a music promoter and worked with artists including Tony Terry. Funeral services will be held at Saint James Home of Fresh Start Ministries, 4705 N. Church St, Greensboro, N.C., Dr. James Woodson, pastor. Family visitation will be Saturday, September 14 from 12:30 til 1:30. Services begin at 1:30p.m.
