"Zearing Enterprise:...One of the saddest events we have has to chronicle for a long time is the death of Ida Gogerty, eldest daughter of Mr. W. H. Gogerty and wife, which occurred Monday, caused by appendicitis after an illness of only one week. Ida Gogerty was born December 10, 1887, died October 28, 1901. She was bright amiable child beloved by her teachers and schoolmates and had reached the age when she had become a helpful companion to her mother. She was a devout Christain and had lately been confirmed in the Catholic church at St. Anthony. The funeral services were held at the house Wednesday, Rev. Father Dennis performing the ceremonies; interment took place in the Zearing cemetery."
