Son of John William Goddard, Jr. and Evelyn Jenny (Wayne) Goddard.

According to the 1910 Census he is listed as being the "adopted son" of John William & Evelyn Goddard.

I believe James Clarence Goddard is actually listed as Clarence Cozart in the 1910 census as the adopted son of James and Sarah A Cozart. His biological mother is noted to be Evelyn Wayne which I believe to be Mary Jane "Jennie" Wayne. She had him with John William Goddard Jr out of wedlock. He went by James Cozart for several years until his children insisted he change his name to Goddard. Even some of his children went by the last name Cozart. I know this information as James Clarence Cozart Goddard is my great-grandfather.
