MALAKOFF - Funeral services for Bryan "Galen" Brantly, 61, Malakoff, are scheduled for 10:00 AM Thursday at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Chapel with Chaplains Dalvin Hampton and Donald Kyle officiating.

Burial will follow in Malakoff Cemetery under the direction of Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home.

Galen was born November 12, 1952 in Homer, Louisiana to Marvin and Cordelia Brantly. He was a resident of Malakoff for the past 40 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved his family very much and was very much loved by all who knew him. Galen was employed in Mabank by Brookshire's as a meat cutter.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Brantly, Malakoff, sons, Chadwick Brantly and wife Jennifer, Athens, John Tatom and wife Sandra, Beaumont, Charley Thomas, Castroville, daughter Brandee Brantly, Carrollton, mother Cordelia Brantly, brothers Tim Brantly and wife Lisa, Gary Brantly and wife Paula, all of Morningsport, Louisiana,14 grandchildren, numerous nephews, nieces, and a host of wonderful friends.

Family will receive friends 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
