Mrs. Jas. Christian Services to Be Held Wednesday at 2

Funeral services will be held at the Sweet Chapel Wednesday afternoon at two for Mrs. Irene Elizabeth Christian, resident of the Land of Orland for the past half-century. Mrs. Christian died at the Glenn General Hospital early Saturday morning after a short illness. She had been a patient at the hospital only a few days.
Rev. Wayne Long of the Orland Federated Church will conduct the services and the American War Mothers Chapter of Orland will take part, Mrs. Christian being a past president of the local chapter. Burial will be in the Orland Masonic cemetery.
Mrs. Christian was born on January 3, 1895, at Salem, Oregon and with her husband and family made her home northwest of Orland for many years.
Mrs. Christian is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Lavey, Mrs. Vera Berlinger, Mrs. Donna Vincze, Mrs. Reynardine Brawley, all of Orland, Mrs. Geraldine Sears, Willows, and Mrs. Elsie Steer, Redding; two sons, Robert, of Orland and Maurice of Sacramento, and 14 grandchildren. - Transcribed by E.
