The Rev. Lorence H. Rodenbeck, 79, an elder in the United Brethren Church, North Ohio Conference, died Sunday in his home on Byrne Road.
Mr. Rodenbeck held his first pastorate at the former Center Street Church, now the Emmanuel United Brethren Church.
He also served as pastor of churches in Monroe, Mich., Corunna, Ind., Metz, Ind., Sherwood, O., and Kunkle, O.
A former machine shop teacher in Monroe public schools, Mr. Rodenbeck also had been a supervisor of trade and industrial arts at the Four-County Vocational School, Archbold, O.
He was a graduate of Defiance College.
Surviving are his wife, Evelyne; sons, Donald and Doyle; daughter Darlene Carver; brother, Erwin; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
