Marcille Humphreys Williams was born in Beatrice, Gage County, Nebraska to Thomas and Ila Humphreys. Marcille was a twin, born 3 minutes after her sister, Lucille. Marcille grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska and graduated from Northeast High School in May 1961. She married James Williams in 1961 and to this union one child, Martha Marie, was born. However, the child did not survive. Marcille and her husband, James, moved to California where James was stationed with the Marines. They returned to Lincoln, Nebraska and Marcille worked as a bookkeeper for a short time. However, her passion to become a beautician was strong and she left her bookkeeping job for beautician school. She graduated from beautician school and opened her own shop. The twins sisters were very close through out their life time.
