Funeral services for William Alexander Taylor were held on Monday, December 9, 2013 at First United Methodist Church in Natchitoches, Rev. Doug De Graffenreid officiated. Interment followed at American Cemetery in Natchitoches.

William Taylor, 50 years of age, passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2013.

William was born June 20, 1963 in Cottonport. William was a gentle, kind and loving person. He donated his time working with the American Cemetery Board, serving on the Natchitoches Historic Foundation Board, and was an active member of the Lions Club for many years, as well as a past regional and local treasurer. He was an employee of City Bank and Trust in Natchitoches for 16 years. He loved LSU football, the Dallas Cowboys, and the New Orleans Saints, and was an active supporter of NSU. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was a member of Ducks Unlimited. William graduated from St. Mary's High School and Northwestern State University, where he was a member of Kappa Alpha Fraternity.

He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Cook Taylor, Sr.

He is survived by his mother of Natchitoches; three siblings; two sisters and brothers-in-law; one brother ans sister-in-law; and his nieces and nephews and their families.

Memorials may be made in Will's name to the First United Methodist Church of Natchitoches, the American Cemetery Association, or to the Natchitoches Historic Foundation.
