He had eleven brothers and sisters; Sorelda Jane(1825-1827), Lenor Ann(1827), Emily Etta(1829), Nancy Ellen(1829), Mary Jane(1823(, John Allen(1838), William Henry(1842), Robert Samuel(1844), Benjamin Wells(1848), Francis Marion(1852), and Lorinda Angelina(1854).
On August 7, 1859, he married Angelina Butler,(she was born on May 10,1842 in Mississippi). They had eight children; Laura J(abt.1862), John W.(abt.1864), Emily E(abt.1866), Frances(abt.1868), Paul Butler(went by Butler)(1870), Roseanna(????), Lillie(1877) and Lena(1882).
They owned a farm two miles northwest of Morrill, Kansas, and lived there all their lives.
James died in 1890, in Morrill, Brown County, Kansas. I know not what cemetery he was laid to rest in. On November 10, 1893 Angelina died. She was laid to rest at Morrill Cemetery, Morrill, Brown County, Kansas. Maybe he is buried there also.
